How I began my journey
My love for antiques started as a small child always admiring and being drawn to 'old and pretty things' without knowing anything about antiques I loved the world.
Tied in with this was my big passion ~ books, I was never without one, a good old exciting adventure book, that told me of places I had yet to see.
Then mix in my dream of being an archeologist and picturing myself on a dig discovering old forgotten treasures.....all of this fired my love for antiques and vintage.
I grew up and bought, loved and wore vintage, read about them and kept on informing and discovering the stories behind the antiques.
I worked in a commercial sales environment , once my family came along, two beautiful daughters, I decided to take the leap of faith that would carry me through so I could buy and sell antique jewellery.
Every day I love what I do, I get to handle and keep for a little while some of the most beautiful antique jewellery. I still discover their storyline, I chat to others in the antique business who will educate me further about a certain piece or era.
Its a great world I live in, I work from my home and the bonuses are tenfold. I see my youngest off to school every morning and welcome her home again, I ring my eldest whenever I feel like, just to check she is ok and settling in to university.
I couldn't think of anything else I would rather do and more so when we're off travelling on buying trips. Along the way has been some tough times and scary decisions and juggling money, but it has been worth it!
The other bonus is when someone sees a piece in the shop and loves it just as much as I do.
